Big Idea

You’ve registered for the contest. Now what?

If you are short on ideas, here are a few tips to kick-start the production of your video.

Form a group – Get your classmates involved. After all, it’s for your school. Put your heads together to come up with an idea for your fire safety public service announcement. You’re likely to have more ideas to choose from.

Visit your local fire station – and ask for their advice as to what to include in your public service announcement. (Maybe they will even agree to participate in the video!)

Get real – stories from friends and families in your neighborhood and communities and ask them to share their experiences as to what they have done regarding fire prevention.

What else? – Research … the Internet, library, the National Fire Protection Association, local fire department, etc. Ask … your teachers, parents, friends, family, etc. They’ll all be glad to help.
